My goal is to maintain my weight at 129 pounds and stay fit as a fiddle. Maintaining my weight & staying fit is most important to my health and, yes, to my vanity.

I'm retired and have a life partner. At 67, life is good. I teach and take classes at a local college for recreation. Low stress living is the key that opens the door of happiness for me.

My Goals:
To maintain healthy eating habits and lower my stress level.

My Program:
I eat three healthy meals a day plus I have some "no" foods like bagels, pizzas, any sugary desserts (only sugar free, low fat for mp).

Work out three days a week, including strength training & cardio.

Personal Information:
Grew up in West Virginia, lived in New York City for 40 years where I worked as a publishing executive.

Retired to Cincinnati in 2007. Am a lifelong Democrat & try to stay politically active when I have time.



Other Information:
The older I get, the less I know. I try to be kind and that means be kind to myself. I try to not let people take advantage of me which is sometimes very hard.

emoticon Thanks for the visit! Hope the drive to PA wasn't too long!

As for the gym . . . I'd talk to the PT to see if she has any recommendations on where to start and anything you should avoid (don't want to cause any setbacks). Then, start slowly and build slowly. Is there anything in particular that you enjoyed at the gym? I would probably start with whatever that is.

And drink LOTS of water!

Congratulations on our recent election, too! I voted early in the morning and then was nervous that whole day. Thank heaven it went the way it did!
