Here's to You, Kids!
I am 44 years old and have been yo yo dieting for as long as I can remember. I lost about 68 pounds a couple years ago using Spark, but since then have gained it ALL back. I weigh approx. 250 which is only 7 lbs. shy of my highest weight of 257. I had gotten down as low as 189. My 18 year old son and 16 year old daughter have inspired me to try to get healthy once again, so here I am. This time I am planning on losing it and keeping it off. I have learned my lesson. I had to come to terms with the fact that obesity really is the result of an addiction. This time I am going to continue with Spark, even once I am at maintenance, so that I have the support needed to stay on track...to help me STAY STRONG! So, here's to you, kids! Mom is going to start living a healthy lifestyle again, and this time it is going to last a lifetime! So, now that I am back on track and utilizing Spark to the fullest, here's my goals for the first month...I need to lose approx. 100lbs. total... 3/31...start diet...start weight approx. 250 (don't have scale to know exact weight) - exercise 70 minutes/wk 4/7...weigh 245 - exercise 70 minutes/wk 4/14...weigh 240 - exercise 105 minutes/wk 4/21...weigh 235 - exercise 105 minutes/wk 4/28...weigh 230***20 POUNDS DOWN***YEAH!!! *******REWARD: Massage...maybe a hot stone one******** **Analyze progress...do I need Weight Watchers? ***220's...Here I come!! Keys to my program: 1 - exercise, exercise, exercise...trying to get to at least 400 minutes per week 2 - lots of water...at least 1 gallon a day 3 - logging all of my food and exercise daily 4 - blogging daily ***PLEASE NOTE: writing blogs on Spark daily is an awesome way to get support and encouragement.
