A Fall off the "wagon" but trying again
Lost my husband 6 yrs ago and did not take care of myself as I should. I made the decision to take better care of myself Jan. 2009. I wanted to get in shape and gain more strength. I started at 148 pounds Jan. 1st 2009 and got down to 115 pretty easily. Then started a new medication in fall 09 that caused me to STAY hungry. I gained back to 130 pounds. My doctor told me to be patient and not to over work my body so I tried to follow his advice and watched the scales gradually go ...

I have stopped the medication and now hope to get back to about where I was before. I have joined my local community center (thanks to a senior discount) and started to really exercise again. I am now taking a Zumba, pilates, hip hop & yoga class plus walking 3 miles 4 days a week. The anniversary of my husband's death is Feb. 21 so I am going to try to stay busy, exercise, and come back here more to stay motivated and upbeat. I am also trying to be more mindful of my stress at work.

My Goals:
Get my stress under control. Get a good night's sleep at least 5 nights a week. Increase my physical strength and improve my balance. Tone up and stay at my ideal weight for feeling great.
My Program:
MY NEW PROGRAM: I do Pilates on Monday, Zumba on Tuesday, Hip Hop on Thursday, Yoga on Friday and walk at least 3 miles 4 times a week. Also still do a DVD from time to time. I love to hike with my dogs when the weather is decent.
Personal Information:
I live just outside a small town and work in the city as a Medical Records Secretary. My daughter and I also have an internet herb business and we make our orders on Saturdays - herbgardencreations.com. I love to read, garden, make & use my herbal products, and hang out with my pets.
Other Information:
I love horror movies and scary books. I am about to become a grandmother again!!! A little girl this time.
