I am Anika, proud mom, childcare provider, baker, foodie, graduate student, and autism advocate. I was a competitive athlete for most of my life before packing on over 100 lb with my first pregnancy. In 2008 I found Sparkpeople, which sparked a rebirth in my athleticism and led to dropping 70 lb. I felt fantastic! Then 2 years later, after a very difficult pregnancy & 3 complicated surgeries, I gained it all back. In 2010 I lost the baby weight and more (120 lb!) ), only to slowly gain ...

Trying to balance family, work, school and fitness is a daunting challenge, but one that I know I can master... So now it's time to make permanent, sustainable changes!
