I cannot go on another diet. The very thought sends me to the Entenmann's and Red Vine aisles. I am ashamed and embarrassed all of the time. I want to live & love life today not at some future date when I weigh the "ideal" amount.

I am getting resistance training in about once a week. I am steadliy accepting myself and slowly learning to love myself as I am.

Today I achieved my goal to lose 25#. Now my journey takes me to unchartered waters. Even though I have lost hundreds of pound over my adult life, I was never able to keep the weight off. With SparkPeople I have the power of thousands of like minded and like hearted people to help me succeed. That is why this time is different.

Have a healthy lifestyle.

Begin to accept and love myself just the way I am.

Have a healthy BMI.

My Program:
Begin to make food choices that honor my body, mind and spirit.

Get at least 60 minutes of vigorous movement most days of the week.

Begin resistance training at least 30 minutes 2 times a week.

Track my nutrition and fitness everyday on Sparkpeople.

Read SparkPeople Articles and the dailySpark everyday when possible.

Be involved in at least one SparkTeam challenge everyday.

Other Information:
A note about my username. My name is not Helen. Helen was my Mother's name. I wanted a user name that was a sort of Mantra for me while honoring her. So I thought of the expression "Come hell or high water" I'm going to find a way to take care of my body, mind and spirit. Thus "HelenHiWater" was created.

Hi Rebecca, I fell off for several months but I'm finally back. It was fun swimming with you last year. If you ever want to do that again sometime, let me know. I just got back in the water, so I'm working up my stamina again. I saw your blog. Hope you are doing well and bouncing back from your obstacles.
