I've finally got this! And it feels wonderful! ;)

My name is Heidi. I'm 32 years old. I have been in a relationship with my best friend, Billy, for 7 years. I have a 12 year old son, Preston, and a 6 year old daughter, Emma. I've never really had a weight problem or health problems. But I know I'm slightly overweight. I need to loose 30 - 40 pounds to be at a normal healthy weight according to my BMI. I'm a size 14/16 right now and I actually am having to use a rubber band around the button and through the button hole to give me that ...

I've never really had a weight problem or health problems. But I know I'm slightly overweight. I need to loose 30 - 40 pounds to be at a normal healthy weight according to my BMI. I'm a size 14/16 right now and I actually am having to use a rubber band around the button and through the button hole to give me that extra little bit of room to wear these. I REFUSE to by a bigger size. A good size for me is a 9,10,11,12 (depending on what brand it could be any of these sizes). I was around that size in high school and if I get smaller than that I look sick. I'm "thick" so I'm always going to weigh more than I look like I do.

My plan:
-Make small goals. Take it one small step at a time. I always jump right into things and overdo it and then end up quitting. Take your time!

-Only weight myself once a week. (Sunday morning) I will actually keep my scale in my closet and bring it out only for weigh in day.

-No soda, only water. Drink atleast 8 glasses of water a day

-Have 6 very, very small meals a day. Eat something every 3 hours. My last meal being at 7pm. Starting at 4am and Nothing after 7pm.

-Watch my portions. Start eatting off of my daughters small childs plates instead of a regular size plate. Smaller plate = less food.

-Get moving. Wake up at 4am and walk for one hour and walk for 30 minutes on my break at work. After one month of moving, add weights to start toning and add aerobic activity.

My Goals:
Starting weight: 177.6 - weighed myself for the first time on August 20, 2012 at 8:30pm, but my following weigh ins will be on Sunday mornings before I eat anything.

Goal weight: 142

Today you have the choice to be amazing. Today you can do more than just try. You can succeed. You can be victorious. Today, you can rock your world. You can look yourself in the eye and smile... because you know that you are fighting for an amazing cause: YOU. And YOU are absolutely worth fighting for.

You can also do the same thing tomorrow.

"It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up." - Vince Lombardi

In honour of the upcoming Summer Olympic Games this Saturday in London, I give to you the Olympic Creed which is as true for the games as it is for achieving our own goals and dreams each and every day:

"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well."

Today, you are a superhero, a survivor, a warrior, and a beacon to others for honouring yourself, your mind and your body; for making the choices that will make you an even better person tomorrow.

Today you are one step closer, because you decided to be. Fight strong, fight well, fight fair.

"Never, never, never, never give up." - Winston Churchill
