A couple years ago, I was in the middle of having lunch when, all of a sudden, I had an epiphany. I saw myself in 20 years, 20 pounds overweight, with compounding health problems, insecurity, and poor self-esteem. And I decided that instead of having those 20-40 pounds to lose later in life, that I would change my lifestyle NOW.

So I did. I joined the gym. I stopped eating beef, pork, lamb, and other sad meats. I eat whole grains and take a daily multi-vitamin with calcium & ...

And I decided that instead of having those 20-40 pounds to lose later in life, that I would change my lifestyle NOW.

So I did. I joined the gym. I stopped eating beef, pork, lamb, and other sad meats. I eat whole grains and take a daily multi-vitamin with calcium & iron, as well as a Vitamin D. I ran my first 5k this spring, the Shamrock Run in Portland... which was totally fabulous!

This year, I decided to become a runner. So, now I run 4-5 times a week, and am running the Warrior Dash in September 2010.

I cut down on my alcohol intake and started eating more fresh fruits and veggies. I ALWAYS eat breakfast. My flexibility has increased big time from continual stretching after work-outs. I always floss and brush my teeth.

I drink soda maybe once every couple weeks, then always feel terrible afterwards. I'm trying to cut it out altogether. I drink soy milk and eat organic foods as much as possible. I read labels and try to avoid scary ingredients.

I have changed my attitude. I have the power to change my life and be the kind of person I want to be. I am. I have. I do.

Wow! That's really amazing how we already have a few things in common....Such as We kinda look alike and you have the name Lorraine, which is my name. : ) Hehehehe.....LOL...And our weight is almost the same except your down about 5 pds. less then me. Hopefully i get there soon, too! Although i can tell your alot younger then me even though people say i look younger for my age...Which is nice. Well i hope you don't mind me stopping by your page...
