I am 65 years old and I have been a Spark Member since 07 but I haven't been actively using the site until now (2/12). I have a partner named Bob and I have a 30 year old son who lives in Chicago. Bob and I are going to visit Bill this coming weekend. We live in Massachusetts. I am constantly struggling to get in any exercise at all during the day. I tend to sit at my computer all day in combination with reading books. I just can't make myself do even 30 minutes of exercise a day. I tend to be depressed a lot and have a lack of energy. Just trying to take one day at a time
Now I am up to 135.1. I ate three candy bars yesterday. My partner has been physically ill and I have been stressed. I would appreciate any support and prayers you can give me.

Hi, Heidie! Glad to meet you! I live in Oregon, but we share the same age group. I want to share my favorite exercise plan...it can be done sitting standing, lying, whatever. It's Oxycise! It's just a special breathing mode that really shakes up your midsection, with different positions that you hold with tension in your muscles. You can burn 227 calories with medium tension, more than a stationary bike. It's worth the few dollars, takes up no space, and it's pretty amazing. I am having a hard time sticking to anything. But when I do this 5 days in a row I feel an amazing rise in energy. I get more stuff done. Anyway, go on their website: Oxycise.com and check out the success stories in our age group.
Sorry for the sermon...I'm sold on this. Now if I would just do it every day!

Hi Heidie, You can lose the 10# I know you can! journal your food! make a plan ! do just a few substutions with veggies and you won't even notice the less calories! do without 500 calories per day and exercise 500 calories per day and you have a pound off every week! 10 weeks = 10 pounds!
and btw 10 pounds will be 40 sticks of butter! I CARE!!!!!
