I set off to change myself for myself. I began with walking and learning about portion control. I have really changed my life especially in regard to fitness and healthier eating. I had an image in my head that real runners wore spandex and had beautiful bodies. It was my first race (5K) that changed my mind. The old, young, fat, thin and everyone in between was running and their efforts were cheered on by total strangers. Each time I run is a reminder that taking care of myself is important- physically and mentally.

My one indulgence was buying a tredamill as I live in Holland & its too miserable & cold to run outside half the time! I find that its better for more knees as its less impact but I also do a much harder workout (faster & steeper) than I would outside....

Thanks for commenting on my blog. You are absolutely right, the running community has been extremely supportive and encouraging! I've got a full in sight, but it will be a while. I'll get another couple halves under my belt first. Thanks for the encouragement!

Thanks for the comments on my Fuel blog. When I lived in Michigan I could get the White Chocolate Wonderful peanut butter in Kroger's, and then Walmart started carrying it. It is slowly becoming more common, but it is a pretty small boutique type brand still. You can go online to www.ilovepeanutbutter.com & their site has a find us near you search function to see if any store in your area carry it or order it on-line. You could also probably find it on Amazon and eBay.
