Hi. I'm Heather. I'm married, have 4 kids, 2 are grown and out of the house. I work as an RN at a busy teaching hospital. I'm a vegetarian. I decided to become a veg for heart health and to control cholesterol. I guess I'm a yo-yo dieter. Nothing I've done has worked so far. I keep gaining more and more.

I liked your comment about avoiding certain brands of veggie burgers. I do also. I also see the need to increase legumes and beans instead of carb calories and watching nut intake. It's so easy to raise calories with a few bites. My mom is a retired RN with Alzheimer's.

Re the oatmeal...I love to dress it up too.
A tablespoon of PB and some chopped apple
or banana and I'm just fine.
