Is the Real Me Here?

Hi, I'm Heather. I have been a member for a while, but recently fell off the wagon. I injured my foot, that started the excuses. Then, decided to go back to school, and felt like I didn't have the time. Blah, happens to most of us, doesn't it.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding in this past November. I saw some of the pictures of myself and said, "THAT'S ME!????!!!" My abdomen is the main place of the new weight gain, making me appear as though I am "expecting!" It's quite ...

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding in this past November. I saw some of the pictures of myself and said, "THAT'S ME!????!!!" My abdomen is the main place of the new weight gain, making me appear as though I am "expecting!" It's quite terrifying to not look like yourself. I know I personally have some time before I get married, say two or so years, but I don't want to be asked if I'm getting married because I'm pregnant, when I'm not. LOL.

It's so easy to quit or find excuses for not eating right or working out. We all know how important being active is, but not all of us can bridge the gap. Hopefully, I will manage to do this and keep it up!!!

Either way, wish me luck, and a healthier lifestyle!

Hi Heather. I read your blog post about your yoga instructor. I'm not sure why she would've singled you out. I've taken yoga too, but it followed the more traditional spiritual side. To make anyone emotionally uncomfortable is very anti-yoga. My instructors were always very considerate of my weight and reminded me not to push myself beyond what my body was ready for.
