Heather's Battle of the Bulge

Hi, Heather here. I'm 41 and have always loved health and fitness. In the old days I always loved those exercise and diet journals--seeing my success (and failure) has always been a big motivator for me. Now I find this sight that tracks my foods, plus my workouts and calories burned, allows me to set goals for myself and track my program.

I've also learned that no matter what my weight, even if it is ideal for me, I have to track what I eat and give myself a calorie limit. I am, first and foremost, a food addict and always will be. Seeing what goes into my body is the magic that keeps me in control. I also keep track of all my major vitamin and mineral intakes and it is very easy here at SparkPeople!

My Goals:
My main goal is to be as healthy as I can be. I want to gain muscle and lose fat, without depriving my body of nutrients. I also want to learn anything and everything about nutrition and fitness.

My Program:
I am a P90X GRADUATE...

I am currently loving ChaLEAN Extreme!!!

I do lots of dvds for cardio: interval training, plyometrics, hi-lo aerobics, kickboxing, circuit. I also love to run.

I exercise 5 to 6 times per week, for at least an hour. I try to stay at 1550 calories per day. I am only losing a tiny bit of weight every week, but with a manageable diet (not starvation) I will get to my goal eventually and have a better chance of staying there.
