Taking back my body!

I used to be super skinny and could eat anything I wanted...then I hit puberty. I was really active in high school, so the weight stayed off. After high school...I lost my motivation to stay active. I also continued to eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. The "Freshman 15" turned into over 50 pounds of unwanted fat...It's time for that fat, and related health issues, to take a long walk!

It's been about 2 weeks, and I have already made progress! I am tracking my food ...

I also continued to eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. The "Freshman 15" turned into over 50 pounds of unwanted fat...It's time for that fat, and related health issues, to take a long walk!

It's been about 2 weeks, and I have already made progress! I am tracking my food intake every day. I am drinking more water (but not always 8 glasses a day...I'm working on that). I am eating more fruits and veggies. And even though I have gone over my calories more often than not, I have lost 2 lbs.

I plan to continue with the food tracking and getting more consistent with my exercising. It's time to start meeting my calorie goal more often than not...

I am now 3 and a half weeks into my fight to take back my body. I have lost 5 lbs. The weight is coming off quickly. This is 100% due to the tools and support I get here on SparkPeople.

My Goals:
1. Lose 57 lbs by the end of July (calculated by SparkPeople - 2 lbs a week)
2. Drink 8+ glasses of water a day
3. Eat 10 servings of fruit and veggies a day
4. Take up running!

1. Tracking my food intake
2. Weighing myself daily
3. Exercising at least 30 minutes a day (elliptical, walking/running, weight lifting)

Personal Information:
Hi! I'm Heather and I live in NW Indiana (Schererville, to be specific). I work in Chicago, and take advantage of Grant and Millenium parks for lunchtime walks (and photography - which I'm learning).

Other Information:
I am a voracious reader. I love fantasy. I read most of my books electronically. I have figured out how to balance my laptop on my elliptical so I can read and work out at the same time.

Hi Heather. I just created my own page and saw your pic there. I had totally forgotten I had sent you that message. I finally got serious and started my weightloss journey. I'm 7 lbs into my 64lb goal.
