My name is Vanessa and I started this journey to have a healthy pregnancy (no, not pregnant yet) and to be an example for my family.

I've gained a lot of weight over the years. I went from being really active most days to a sedentary desk job. Yet my eating habits haven't changed! So now I'm here.

I'm married and we have a son who brings us so much joy. I love being a wife and mom and want to be a healthy example for my family.

Short Term:
-Lose 10% of my starting weight (22.5 lbs) by my next birthday (June 2014)

Long Term:
-Be in a healthy BMI range (for me, under 160) before I turn 30 in 2015.

Exercise consistently, most days of the week.
