Short Term:
-Lose 10% of my starting weight (22.5 lbs) by 03/31/2015

Long Term:
-Be in a healthy BMI range (for me, under 160) before I turn 30 in 2015.

Exercise consistently, most days of the week.

I love to strength train but struggle with cardio.

No specific nutrition program but incorporating elements from the ABS DIET and Carb Cycling.

Hello Vanessa,
I'm glad you're still keeping with Sparkpeople. That BodyPump sounds sore, I'm not ready for that pain yet. I'm walking every day now. I even walked to church this last Sunday.

Last Tuesday I weighed in at 213 pounds - a lost of 11 pounds. Then, I went out to Eggs and Things and had waffles with strawberries and whipped cream AND Pork chops, eggs with rice. OMGosh! I ate a Reeses' Peanut Butter Cup - both of em AND a Hershey's with Almonds bar. OMGosh!! By Saturday the scale was going up and on Sunday I weighed 217 pounds OMGollyGoshGosh! Needless to say, I got on the ball. Water flush - 10 plus cups - fruit and veggies for fiber for 48 hours, and on Tues I weighed 215. This morning - Wed. - I jumped on the scale, expecting no progress - when I was back to 213.
Last Tues. 213.4 this Wednesday 213.8. I'll take that.

I guess I got cocky about my new numbers that I had a lot to "play" with. Instead, it scared me nuts! I'll never do that again. (crossing my fingers and toes)

I want to change the subject a bit, and tell you a bit about myself. I am a mother of 4 grown children. I have daughters your age. My eldest daughter is 31, I have a daughter making 29 on Friday and another daughter who'll be 28 in March. I see that your goal is to lose weight by 30, so I thought I mention that. I also have a son, but he'll be 38, also on Friday. Yes, I have 2 children born on the same day 9 years apart. Go figure! I know I am old enough to be your mother, but I hope we can still be friends.

Are you from Hawaii? I am Hawaiian and lived here nearly all my life. I tried living in California, but got so homesick I was home within a year. Do you live on the military base? What restaurants do you go to? I love the Mexican Restaurant in Aiea next to the bowling alley. Yum!

I love camping. We just went camping in Hauula during the Martin Luther King holiday, and we're planning another camping trip this March 20-22 for my daughter's birthday.

I live on Oahu, too in Liliha. What island do you live on? Hawaii Sparkers is one of my teams, and you can catch me there. I've been on SP before and lost 60 pounds, 260-200. The transformation was brilliant, just brilliant. From a 22 to 16, so I know it works.
