My UserName is a reference to my heart attack... not my romantic life... I''m happily married. :) I had a heart attack in 2007. Since then, I''ve become a registered and licensed dietitian. While my personal struggles with food and activity continue, I work in outpatient coaching on weight loss, health at every size, and using nutrition to improve a myriad of health conditions. DO NOT TAKE ADVICE FROM UNQUALIFIED TRAINERS OR NUTRITIONISTS. The advice I see is at times downright dangerous and not based on science or physiology. My Goals:
Health Goal: Increasing the longevity and quality of my life and staying out of the ER!

Social Goal: Finally losing this stubborn belly and enjoying shopping and fashion again.


My Program:
I am monitoring my diet and eating low sodium, low fat, and low cholesterol; but I do allow myself the occasional hamburger! (And man, do I enjoy it!)

I also work out consistently. I have gone from being winded from the easiest of activities after being released from the hospital post-heart-attack (like walking from the car to the mailbox) to running for just over 30 minutes at a time and lifting pretty heavy weights (for a girl that is). I love to watch the muscle definition in my arms develop. It�s my newest obsession!

I gave up a successful career of 14 years to go back to what I love � nutrition and exercise! I am currently a full-time nutrition student, am studying for my ACE Personal Trainer Certification, and taking an Intrinsic Coaching class.

Anyone in Jax need a wellness coach/personal trainer??? ;)
