I had an unexpected heart attack on November 23, 2007. I am now healthier than I have been in about a decade. Having a heart attack was the best thing that could have happened to me. Go figure, huh?

My Goals:
Health Goal: Increasing the longevity and quality of my life and staying out of the ER!

Social Goal: Finally losing this stubborn belly and enjoying shopping and fashion again.

My Program:
I am monitoring my diet and eating low sodium, low fat, and low cholesterol; but I do allow myself the occasional hamburger! (And man, do I enjoy it!)

I also work out consistently. I have gone from being winded from the easiest of activities after being released from the hospital post-heart-attack (like walking from the car to the mailbox) to running for just over 30 minutes at a time and lifting pretty heavy weights (for a girl that is). I love to watch the muscle definition in my arms develop. Its my newest obsession!

I gave up a successful career of 14 years to go back to what I love nutrition and exercise! I am currently a full-time nutrition student, am studying for my ACE Personal Trainer Certification, and taking an Intrinsic Coaching class.

Anyone in Jax need a wellness coach/personal trainer??? ;)

Hi Heartbreaker! Its been a long time...just saw your comment...Im good..I have had a couple more heart attacks...I just had my 6th Friday and I'm ADAMENT now to get Sparking! Hope ypou are doing well...you sure look like you are. Keep up the good work. emoticon
