No more excuses!

My weight loss goal is to lose the weight that I gained during pregnancy. Once I achieve this goal, I will focus on lose additional weight so that I can be a healthy weight for my height.

I won't be able to workout until some time in May, but in the meantime, I plan to do some short walks to help build up my fitness level.

My First Attempt at losing weight using SparkPeople...

I started this weight loss journey over 3 years ago (2008). I was losing weight slowly, but steadily until Jan. 2010. From January 2010 to May 2010, I reached a weight loss plateau, and had a hard time losing weight, but managed to lose over 70 lbs between January 2008 and May 2010. My ultimate goal was to lose a total of 100 lbs.

I will update my sparkpage as I make progress.

1. Logged back into Sparkpeople, and started to make a plan for weight loss in 2011 (April 2, 2011);

2010 Achievements
1. Ran 5 km race in 32:20 (Jan);
2. Ran my first half-marathon;
3. Abs are strong enough to do a V-sit and catch a medicine ball with twist to right, and left side, then throw it back to someone (can do this 5x without dropping feet to the ground) (Mar. 15);
4. Deadlifted 85 lbs (March 25, 2010);
5. Rowed 500 m in 2:07minutes (March 25, 2010);
6. Entered the 140s!!! (March 26, 2010);
7. Held on to chin-up bar, hanging with body weight for 1 minute (April 11)
8. Ran/Walked a total distance of 200 km for the year 2010 and counting... (April 2010)
9. Bought first pair of GAP jeans (April 20);
10. Walked a 10 km race (Always wanted to enter in this race) (May 2010);
11. Realized that there are bumps along the way (in the weight loss journey), but can't give up... just push on and keep moving forward (June 2010);
12. V-sit with medicine ball (thrown to me, catch it, move it from side to side, and throw it back) (June 7, 2010);
13. Ran with stroller without stopping (1 mi or 1.60 km) Average speed 6:15 min/km (June 12, 2010);
14. Joined running group (June 13, 2010);
15. Started to focus on nutrition (June 14, 2010);
16. Leg lifts (partner throws them back ) done 15x in a row (June 14, 2010).
15. Pre-paid 9 weeks of childcare at gym (June 23, 2010). Made a plan to workout 5x a week for the next 9 weeks.

1. Deadlift 65 lbs (Nov. 1, 2009);
2. Deadlift 85 lbs (Mar. 23, 2010);

My Goals:
June 14 2010 to August 4th, 2010 (8 weeks) (52 days):

1. Join a running club(Completed-June 13, 2010);

2. Go to the gym 25 x;
(20 visits to go- as of June 28, 2010)

3. Run 100 km outside;
(26.0 km done, 74.0 km left to go- updated Sun. June 27, 2010)


4. Walk 200 km;

5. Deadlift 100 lbs;

Running:
Doing intervals of running (8 minutes run, 1 min walk building up to 10 min running, and 1 minute walking.

Strength Training
2-3 x a week. Each ST session works upper, and lower body. Some interval training is incorporated into the ST workout sessions.

Go to the gym 5x a week.

Personal Information:
My ultimate goal is to lose 100 lbs. I will achieve this goal in 2010.

Thanks for the SparkGoodie! Just the kick-in-the pants I needed to get back at it! You know how hard it is to get up in the morning to workout when I have 4 kids under 6 and the baby wakes up three times a night! I keep saying it will get better next week, but the week ends up the same as the one before. I need to just draw a line in the sand and decide to do it no matter what! Good to see you are back! Congrats on the little one! emoticon
