I have struggled with my weight since I was about 10 years old. I have PCOS and have never been "skinny", but I know my body really does not want to be as heavy as I was in May of 2007 - a whopping 180 pounds!

When I left for college, I weighed about 155 pounds and I wanted to lose weight, but the temptations and the stress only made matters worse. I fluctuated up and down for most of the last four years and, after a very stressful fourth year (starting graduate school early, having to quit a wonderful job to accommodate school, and going through a very traumatic experience with an ex-roommate) I ended my college career at that whopping 180 pounds.

I made a change in July of 2007 and have never looked back! I may slip up here and there, but life is a constant journey and when you make a mistake, pick yourself up and move on.

My Goals:
Long term: To maintain my weight for the rest of my life.

Medium term: To feel confident enough to wear a bikini this summer.

Short term: To continue being happy.


My Program:
Cardio, Weights

Elliptical machine, walking, PACE DVD system, Interval training, yoga, and lots of stretching!

Staying within my calorie range and making sure I am eating good things (with a little room for chocolate, of course)



Personal Information:
I am from northern Illinois, but am currently live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

I am a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Master's in Urban Planning. I currently work for a suburb of Chicago as a city planner.

I am back in school part time to learn massage therapy because I need a career-change and want to do something of direct service to others!

I enjoy singing, dancing, working outside, exercising, being in nature, and spending time with my wonderful husband and family.

I am having the time of my life and am LOVING who I am!
