New Beginnings

Like most women I have never been happy with my weight. However, until about 7 years ago I was at a normal weight for my height. 7 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and gained 49 pounds. I am happy to report that I am cancer free and have been considered cured! However I am now facing other dangerous health issues if I do not change my eating and exercise habits. I must change my lifestyle. I want to eat healthy and be more active. So approximately 3 months ago I started ...

I must change my lifestyle. I want to eat healthy and be more active. So approximately 3 months ago I started making diet and exercise changes. I have lost 16 pounds, but only 1 off my belly. I have read many encouraging words from sparkspeople and am hoping that community can encourage me to keep working at getting and staying healthy. And maybe I can encourage someone else in the process.

Exercise 6 x a week
strenth training 3x wk
cardio 3x wk

eat 1200 - 1500 calories per day

eat mostly high nutritious low calorie foods

Girl I am so hungry all the time I track my food for days in advance and print out the menus! LOL whatever works huh! Good luck and stay focused!
