Update 3/3/11
Since I joined SP what feels like a lifetime ago I have changed pretty significantly. I have learned patience, perseverance, tolerance and humility. I have learned that I am stronger and more powerful than I ever could have imagined and that I can accomplish anything. I have learned that failure only happens if you allow it to happen. Your life is what you make it and being healthy is a choice you make everyday. I choose me.

Living and working in Boston and looking to lose weight and get in shape for our wedding, future children and to feel better physically and emotionally.
I started out at 340 ish but I honestly do not even know what the highest number was. I was so miserable. I felt like I could barely move and I decided after leaving a job I was not happy with in early 2009 it was time to focus on myself. I made simple changes like iced coffee with skim milk in place of mocha lattes, and completely cutting soda out of my life, I was able to drop around 40 lb. Over the last 6 months I was able to maintain my weight loss but needed to readjust my eating and exercising habits. With the help of spark I am once again headed on the path of better health!
After just a few short weeks on spark I am happy to say this is a new way of life for me. The support I receive here is an integral part of my weight loss and healthy lifestyle journey.

My Goals:
To lose weight, feel better, be more active with my fiance.

My Program:
I track everything on the nutrition tracker and follow a carb cycling plan

I can not stress enough the benefits of eating clean. I would say I eat 80-90% unprocessed and it makes staying within my calories so much easier.

Focus on healthy foods such as lean meats, organic vegetables, and whole grains

Strength training 3x per week
Cardio Cross Training 6 days x per week
Yoga 1+x per week

I am 36 and 5'10" a born and bred Boston girl and I love my city. I am also a pug fanatic but I love all animals in general as well as the outdoors.

Cooking and teaching people about food is my passion.

    Hi Ashley, So excited to hear from you. I have missed you and spark and my tight waist band is proof of that. Time to stop hibernating in my comfy sweats and do something about it. So today. I'm going to restart! Maybe this Summer we can go walking.
