Hi Everyone, my name is Michele. I am 32 years old and a single mom of a wonderful 13 year old son. I have basically been overweight all my life, but after I had my son it kind of got out of control, then my divorce sent my weight spiralling but in the wrong direction. Before I realized it I was over 300 pounds. Then one day I woke up and faced reality and realized I truly need to work on making my life healthier so I will be around years to come to watch my son grow up. So in May 2008 I signed up for something called the Mississippi Makeover Challenge thru Paul Lacoste Sports. I started on my life changing journey on June 4, 2008. The challenge was a 12 week program. I lost 42 pounds during it. I then decided I would never stop. I signed up for another 12 week fitness program and continue to lose every week. I will not give up and always remind myself that this is a total lifestyle change. It is very tough, but I have to remember it didn't take one day or a week to put on, so will definitely take time to come off. But I will succeed. Quitting is NOT an option....I KNOW I CAN do this!!! I joined Spark People to find extra motivation from others and hopefully I can be motivation to others also.

Day 1 of Spark People 2009 Bootcamp!
Starting Weight - 247 Goal at end of 30 days 227 - Going to be a GREAT Way to start the New Year!
Day 2 - Going great so far!!
Day 3 - I usually weigh on Thursdays but weighed this morning and have lost 1.5 lbs!! Woohoo!!

My Goals:
My short term goal is to lose 100 pounds by February. Longterm I want to lose at least 150.

To develop and live a healthy LIFESTYLE that continues to grow everyday!

To Inspire others who want to lose weight and get healthy. To show them ANYTHING is possible with hard work and dedication!

My Program:
I work out Monday-Thursday morning, with intense cardio and strength training and cardio and ab work at night. Friday is my OFF day and I just do cardio on Saturday and Sunday. I also monitor my diet logging everything I eat.

Personal Information:
I live in Brandon, MS. I have a 13 year old son, who keeps me very busy. He is the best thing about my life...and the greatest support system EVER!!
