This is the time I wilI do it right!

Last night I had the moment. The breaking point when I realized that I have to get fit and healthy forever. As I sat crying in the middle of the night in frustration, humiliation, and every negative self hating emotion , I was holding my beautiful miracle baby boy. He was tired confused and crying. The problem;I could not get him into his crib because my stomach kept me from lowering him all the way to the mattress without dropping him those last few inches.

I resolved that this is ...

I resolved that this is the last time that my weight will negatively impact my children and my life. So here I am ,not with giddy anticipation but gritty resolve that this time I will do this right. For (my) life!

My Goals:
I have decided to keep it simple this time. So my goals are:
1)lose 70 lbs.
2) exercise daily
3) participate in activities with my children.
4) be a role model to my children and students of a healthy lifestyle.

My Program:
To achieve my goals I am going to:
1) track my food
2) find ways to eliminate my emotional eating
3) exercise to my level on a daily basis
4) have some fun.

Personal Information:
I am a grade 6 teacher from Kirkland, Quebec. I have 2 amazing boys and a great husband. Time to join in all the fun and enjoy time together.

Other Information:
My two favorite quotes.
1) it is amazing what one can do when one does not know what one can't do.

2) stop trying to find life's purpose and find purpose in your life.

Enough said!

Welcome. You can do it. I have had 4 children so I know how pregnancy can change your body in so many ways but it is all worth it. When others get you down, focus on your children. Small changes add up. The first think I noticed, even before weight loss, was that I started to have a more positive attitude and I felt better. Even that is worth it for my kiddos. So glad you are here with us!

emoticon You can do it! I had my last child at....41. I was on bedrest throughout the pregnancy. She is now 21/2 years old and the sweetest, most fun kid!
I am not at my healthy weight but I remember having the same issue- with my fat stomach coming in the way...of holding the baby properly, of putting her down properly. I think I know how you feel.
There are so many things we learn from our kids. One thing I have learned over and over again is to focus on the present- not the past, not the future.... just the present- this moment :) (You know what I mean-they go from crying one second to laughing the next.)
