Hi everyone,
My name is Karen. I'm in my forties, with too much weight currently on a 5'-1" frame. I'm generally happy, and logical. I enjoy living most everyday. I chose to be happy because, being unhappy really stinks!
My health goals are weight loss and increased muscle!! And to feel and look great, too!
I am looking to step out with a different education options, and turn my career into a whole new direction.

I was unemployed over a year, and am working part-time now. I am uninsured. I have asthma and I have been reluctant to exercise due to lack of medicine.

Smile and Laugh everyday.
Karen

One of my favorite thoughts, when trying to decide if I should do / try something is: "What is the worst thing that could happen?" If the worst thing is temporary embarrassment, someone could say no, etc. I go for it. If it's going to put me in debt, do harm to someone, end the world, etc. I stop.

Hi Karen, Thank you for the comments on my blog. I have always had animals. When I was very little, my mother had a dog and I had a kitty and a duck. Now that's a combination!

Hi! In answer to your question about Project Linus -
It is an organization made up of volunteer "blanketeers" and is based on Linus (of the cartoon Peanuts) and his security blanket. We make quilts and donate them to places who deal with traumatized/ill/abused children. The idea is that they will have a sense of security from their blankets and they will have someting that will stay with them no matter where they go.

I am very passionate about anything that helps traumatized children and love making the quilts. The Project Linus leader in my area is retiring in a few months leaving us without a local "guild". I will not be able to attach the Project Linus tag to my quilts, but I plan to continue to make quilts and donate them.

Thanks for asking!
