What they say is true, or is it?

I got married less than a year ago and I have gained 10 lbs. Every diet phase I go on just hurts me more and more. My husband has always said that once you get married you gain weight and once you hit 30 you gain weight. I gained weight after getting married but I want to prove him wrong about the 30 part. I just turned 28 in February of 2012 and I want to enjoy living without deprivation. Here goes nothing. I have EVERYTHING to gain!

My Goals:
My goals are to lose weight, get fit, and learn how to keep this lifestyle all while not depriving myself or my husband.

Learning how to be active again while keeping things simple. Walking/running

I own a photography business (which includes a lot of photo editing at a desk) and also have a full time desk job so I am sitting a lot. I have a very active dog and a very active husband and with the nice weather, I really have no excuse!
