I am the lucky mom of 2 beautiful children ages 3 & 1 and have the body to prove it ! I am very ready to get into the best shape of my life but I find it very hard to put myself first and take time to focus on me right now :( I have a loving husband who never complains about how much my body has changed , but I would really like to get fit for him as well as for myself . I am very aware of how quickly age has a way of creeping up on us and know it will only get harder to take control of my body if I keep "waiting" for the day I find the motivation I need to get my butt moving but it seems so hard to add one more thing ... I am hoping that being on here will inspire & motivate me to stick with a healthy lifestyle long enough to make a change ... So here's to all of your stories that are giving me hope that I too can get fit !
Thank you so much for your support lately! Your story about what happened at the flea market just broke my heart. People are so rude!
I'm so so so sorry you had to experience that. And I am so sad that you were hurt by him.
Something I've learned: People are rude for a myriad of different reasons. If it wasn't your size, it would be your freckles, size of yoru ears, height, scars, knees/elbows, laugh, etc. His comment was more a reflection on him than on your size.
Your body is wonderful as it is. It is doing a fabulous job keeping you alive, getting you from point A to point B, letting you experience hugs and tickles and kisses. She has done nothing wrong. Will you feel better a little lighter? maybe. But you can't hate on a body that is helping you live your life fully.
Today you have the choice to be amazing. Today you can do more than just try. You can succeed. You can be victorious. Today, you can rock your world. You can look yourself in the eye and smile... because you know that you are fighting for an amazing cause: YOU. And YOU are absolutely worth fighting for.
You can also do the same thing tomorrow.

In honour of the upcoming Summer Olympic Games this Saturday in London, I give to you the Olympic Creed which is as true for the games as it is for achieving our own goals and dreams each and every day:
"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well."
Today, you are a superhero, a survivor, a warrior, and a beacon to others for honouring yourself, your mind and your body; for making the choices that will make you an even better person tomorrow.
Today you are one step closer, because you decided to be. Fight strong, fight well, fight fair.

Hi, just wanted to welcome you to SP! I am actually new too, just starting out in my weight loss journey. We have a lot in common---I have three young children, ages 6, 3, and 5 months, so I completely understand how hard it is to make time for yourself. I think that is the biggest hurdle for me-- finding time to work out and cook healthy meals. I also have a supportive hubby who has never commented on my weight, but I know that I need to lose it to be a good role model for my kids and feel better about myself. Just like you, my body shows that I have had kids :) and I am so lucky to have them, but it's time to lose the extra fat. If you ever need a shoulder to lean on, please send me a message or stop by my page. We're in this together! :)
Aww, thank you soo much for your sweet message on my page :) I've added you, too! Let me know what I can help you do to achieve (or at least get a jumpstart) on your goals, okay?!
I gotta say, it's an exciting moment to hit those little milestones you never thought you'd see: finding your waist, slimming your face, buying a size (or two) smaller jeans. I can't wait for you to experience that, too...it's amazing!!
