1/3 of the way there--with Dawn & Rachel. I see a difference in my face; also, same dress as before

Before--me with Connie at nephew's wedding--she lost 96 pounds.

Consistency is key~

I have struggled with my weight most of my life. I know *what* I should be doing, I usually know *how* to do it, but I fall down in staying motivated- the *why* I should do it.

I am hoping that I have the long-term motivation to stick with this, vs. crash & burn as in the past. I want to make consistent, long-term changes rather than lose a lot quickly and then rebound.

Update: following a moderate carb plan called DASH for weight loss, -20 so far. 12/9/12

My Goals:
I want to be happy & healthy for the rest of a very long lifetime. If I look better in my clothes, that's a nice side benefit.

My Program:
I plan & track food intake on a daily basis, and aim to follow the DASH Diet recommendations. I exercise, either cardio or strength training, 6 or 7 days a week.
I drink 8+ glasses of water a day.
I do my best to address roadblocks as they come up.

Other Information:
"You can exercise until the cows come home, but unless you also eat right you'll still be a cow coming home."
I love exercising and am happy that I work to get it in no matter what, but I want to do better with the other side of the equation.
