This is me on my birthday/Thanksgiving 11/28/2013 at my highest weight of 193 lbs.




This was me Feb. 22nd 2014 @ 180 lbs. Getting pretty for my brother's wedding. I was a bridesmaid :)

Hi there! My name is Karen and I am 28 years of age. I have been a member of Sparkpeople for a few years now been active on this site off/on. The reason being I was caught up with all the changes going on with my life since then, I was living and working abroad for the last year and a half as an ESL teacher in South Korea and did not dedicate time to fitness and the Sparkpeople community. As a result I did gain weight steadily while in Korea to the point that I am now at the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I just weighed myself and I weigh 196 lbs :( and it's not good especially since I'm just 5'3'' !
I am hoping to start 2015 on a good note and make a resolution to lose at least 40 lbs so I may go on adventure after my time in Korea May 2015 which will also be around the time of my 10 year high school reunion :/ :/ yikes!

Some of my goals include:

*To go down 40 lbs by May 25, 2014

*Work on cardio to build stamina, and resistance training
to build strength.

*To weigh between 140 and 150 lbs.

*To have the confidence to wear a bathing suit

*Have enough money saved to go on trip

- No Soda
-Plenty of Water
- Walk at least 30 min each day
-Portion control
-more vegetables
-Less Carbs
-Getting plenty of sleep 8 hrs a night
- Slim in 6 Series
- Learn Zumba
-P90X???
