This is my most recent headshot. It was taken a few years ago but still serves me well.

This headshot has been a big conversation starter at auditions.

Photo taken on October 1, 2010 at Mohegan Sun in CT. I'm a BIG fan of the Professional Bull Riders, and JB Mauney is certainly amongst my favorites.

Hazel's Healthy Turnaround
As a kid I was skinny. As a teenager, my metabolism crashed. As a college kid, I lost a lot of weight- not all of it in a healthy manor. As a 20 something, I'm determined to be healthy. I have signed up for the Disney Food and Wine Half Marathon and will be running 13.1 miles in November. I am part of Team Carpe Diem and running for the American Brain Tumor Association in memory of my dear friend Billy. My team has one other runner- my best friend/sister Melissa. My boyfriend will be joining us in the cheering section. Neither of them knew Billy, which makes their support extra special. They are the best teammates a gal could ask for. Success, for me, is no longer determined by the numbers on the scale. There is no scale in my apartment and I intend to keep it that way. Instead, I'm basing my success rate on my training program. I'm using the 12 week program set up by Hal Higdon. While I know that the race is more than 12 weeks away, I'll be running the program over 17 weeks. First, I will run the 12 weeks program as it is outlined. After that, I'll work on speed and run the last few weeks of the program until race day. Also of note is that I have exercise enduced asthma. Every time I run or swim, I have an asthma attack. Since I have cleaned up my diet (ie- no sugar and minimal carbs), my asthma symptoms have vanished. I'm proud to say that I can run over 3 miles without an asthma attack. For this fact alone, I have already won the race.
