Updating the page again!

I'm 23 years old, living in Baltimore with my boyfriend, and fighting once again with my weight! My first year out of college, I lived at home which was GREAT for my weight. Lots of fresh, healthy foods to eat.

Then I moved to the city in May 2010 and things went downhill. Eating out for lunch too many days a week, too many snack runs at work, too many nights where it was easier to grab dinner out, too many happy hours... the weight piled back on until my jeans didn't fit anymore!

So I'm back (AGAIN) with a vengence! Need to learn to get this under control and maintain it... forever!

I've recently gotten into running. I completed the Couch to 5k, which really works! If I can do it, anyone can. This is from the girl who would claim she had cramps in gym class to avoid the mile run. How pathetic! Once I signed up for my first 5k, it was like a fire was lit inside me. And now I actually love it! Even after I completed the Couch to 5K, I didn't love running. It was still hard and exhausting, and I realized I HATE the treadmill. I LOVE running outside. I love the accomplishment of carry my body miles and miles through the city. I love the feeling I get when I come inside and realize I completed my course even faster than last week. There really IS a such thing as the runner's high.

Upcoming races:
-Baltimore Running Festival (5K) - October 16th (FIRST RACE!)
-Turkey Trot 5k - Thanksgiving Day
-Jingle Bell Run 5K - December 12th

Don't be fooled by my Weight Ticker... It says 100 is my goal, but I will never really get there (I don't think). But I have found that I have no idea what I really want to weigh. My lowest has been 116lbs, but I wasn't 100% happy there. So I moved my goal to 100 because to me, there's always room to improve!

My Goals:
My biggest goal is to be comfortable in my own skin! I don't want to feel self conscious about my body anymore (mostly my stomach and legs). I'm not sure what weight that means I want to be, but I know I still have a good amount to lose!

My Program:
The hardest part for me is going to be changing my eating! I love to eat, and my favorite foods are no longer allowed according to Sparkpeople!

Yes I agree, it's so fantastic to find someone who actually understandings the phrase "I have my 7". As for the weight-loss I'm sure you'll get back on track. March was not a very successful month for me so I signed-up for a 5K in three weeks and that's forcing me to clean up my nutrition again and go out running. Let me know how your 66 goes. I've got to take my 63 by August but I'm thinking I'd rather get it over with sooner rather than later (ehem, six months studying for the 7 kinda turned me off to the lazy route).

Hope you're having an awesome day!

Isn't studying for the 7 intense? I felt guilty whenever I didn't study - ha ha I thought this was why I didn't go to grad school? Now I have to take my Series 63 (Illinois Exam) - do you have anymore exams for your job? That's awesome that I know another RR ha ha. Great job on your weight-loss by the way! You look fantastic! Thanks again for your sweet comments on my blog!

Thanks for finding my HUGE typo in my blog - I was 229 not 22 in my age group.

I started with the 30 day shred, which I did every day/every other day for about 20 days but my back aches a lot so I only do it 2 times a week now. Since a couple of weeks I have added HIIT 3 x a week and I finish my runs with a couple of butt and abs floor exercises. So I exercise about 5 days a week.

How's your running going? And your diet?
