I have been off track for over a year and I am happy to say, I am back.

Towards the end of 2011, I had to stop running and before I knew it, the weight started piling on. I was really embarrassed and didn't want to post a weight gain every month, so I just dropped out. Well, we were moving and I had left my whole lifestyle behind, my life was really disrupted for a while, so I ate. All this is really just an excuse, but it took me a long time to break out of the rut I was in.

Now that things are "normal" again, I really wanted to get back in shape. When I left SP, I weighed more than my tracker was showing because I just stopped moving it. Although the tracker is 1.8 pounds higher now than I was showing before I left, I am actually almost ten pounds down and feeling good about myself. This is a big THANKS to my SP friends that had faith in me and encouraged me to come back. Well, I am back and right on track!

I saw this on THECRUSADER's page and copied it for my page too!

No matter how slow you are...
you're still lapping everyone sitting on the couch!

Other Information:
Weight loss is a journey tackle it in stages.
Some may get there very quick, whilst others may take ages.
Weight loss is a journey, some take the stopping train,
And they get off at the station, and then get back on again.
While other lucky people seem to travel by express,
With no apparent effort, each week they weigh in less.
For some of us the journey, too often seems uphill.
We never seem to get that far, struggle though we will.
Weight loss is a journey anyone can go
But as you travel on your way theres something you should know.
Losing weights a journey that is different for everyone,
Some are happy to stroll along while others need to run.
If you want to complete this journey, then forget about the rest.
Each of you must travel the way that suits you best.
As long as you believe it, you WILL get there some day.

PS: Thank you for the pedometer! I never leave home without mine either! Actually, I wear mine ALL the time. That's one of the advantages of having to wear wedge-heeled oxfords; I can leave my pedometer hooked onto my shoelaces! :) :)

I really appreciate your thoughtfulness! emoticon emoticon

So glad you are still on track!

As always, including the Fourth, I have a few self-disciplined days and then a few self-indulgent days! I am trying to outnumber the days of self-indulgence with the self-disciplined ones.

I suggested to my husband (who has NEVER had a weight problem, but since he had heart surgery a few years ago and is not as active, is beginning to have one) that we both lose and inch off our waistlines. Actually, I changed mine to losing 10 pounds and he can use his belt to tell when he has lost an inch. He has been working at it with a vengeance! I am working at it, but HAVE to eat due to hypoglycemia. Also, I want to lose it the way I will maintain it! :) I've said all the above to say the past two days have been pretty good!

I haven't been on SP, except to sign in and log my foods for several days. Time is something I have never managed well, and the older I get, the longer it takes me to do everything. Consequently, I am getting farther behind every day and have a family birthday celebration at out house next Monday night.

Thank you so much for your interest and encouragement! I go to the doctor next Tuesday. I am hoping my blood pressure s down noticeably and my weight at least a little bit. I have had a problem with my foot for several days and could not walk on the treadmill, but it is better now.

I think of you every day, even if I do not get on SP! Hoping you continue to have success!!!

Thanks for another encouraging note! My house is the one people come to for holidays, and I just cannot handle all of them anymore(too old)! Since my husband's birthday is near, and sometimes on, Labor Day, we do that now. Also a nephew's birthday in July, so we don't do the Fourth, except to watch the concert and fireworks from DC on TV. There is a big thing at church, but we don't even want to go to that either. There is ALWAYS some special reason to eat, so it is constantly a challenge! I'm always learning!

Hope you have a wonderful Fourth and enjoy the food without going overboard!

Thanks for the encouragement and the friend add! I have added you, too. emoticon

I did really BAD the past two days, and great today. I learned a long time ago on SP that one thing that is my enemy is sleep deprivation! I caught up on my sleep yesterday and last night; it's amazing what a difference it makes!

It's REALLY IMPORTANT to get off as much medication as we can. It's nice to have a friend with the same goal!
