Hi Harley. I saw your desperate plea for help on the thread. 1st, WELCOME to a fantastic site. This is where we really learn how to eat right. Below I have added3 sites from the nutritional articles that might help a little. I have been with SP for 11 months & have made my 1st major wt. loss goal. When I set up my BMI, that set my calorie range. I was floored at the amount of cals, carbs, & fats I needed. I have a hard time meeting them, but try to eat lots of fruits and veggies. When I make the cal. range, I lose weight. It I don't, I don't lose. Currently at a month plateau. Could be frustrated but I'm glad to have the wt. off that I have. Get in to see your Dr. and have some lab. work done. Start reading articles to help. You need carbs to burn fats. A good balance in your meals is 40-50% carbohydrates, 25-35% protein and 20-30% fats daily. I hope this helps you work out what you need to try & do. Keep posting and reading the threads as there is also a lot of info there for us to learn about. Best wishes to you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle (not dieting!!!)

welcome to the spark family, you can do this and it is the right way to do it. I gained when I quit smoking too but I started up again thinking I could loose the wait if I was smoking again.
