I love your "opening quote". I think that statement is so true!

I had a very big oversight yesterday--I did not thank you for your beautiful and touching comment on my Curveball blog. You have touched me with your words and I appreciate your taking the time to boost me up when I needed it! I'm so glad that Tough Love meant so much to you! I have found amazing people here on SP, and you are definitely one of them. Thank you!

Found your blog through the blog roll function. Your spirit is calming and inspiring. I'm adding you as a friend so I can remember to read your posts. Continued success on your journey.

My blog entry 6:30 AM Race Day from about a week and a half ago is an example of motivation (or Morale) Maintenance Day.

I schedule one day every two weeks to only work on my motivation muscles. I read fitness magazines, take all my measurements, stock up on fun healthy treats to snack on all day, I don't beat myself up at all, I relish in the progress I have made, I paint my nails, I read tons of success stories, I put on a clay mask and stretch in the backyard, I think only happy thoughts, I work on my motivation wall, etc.

The point of the whole day is to refuel my motivation BEFORE my momentum starts to slow down, before I get depressed enough to give up. The more I consider my motivation to be its own muscle group (requiring strength training, stretching, rest and recovery) the less likely I am to have to start over completely!

Thanks Patty! We should meet up sometime and go challege the town to a dietary battle of wills!
