From age 19 onward, my weight climbed too much... I got as high as 120kgs, (264lb) for various reasons. mostly being unhappy with life.. but now.....
I'm ready to get in the BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!

In my first few months of Spark, I went for a run to try and train for the 5k race on here and discovered I had bursitis in my hip which took months of therapy, I was so motivated that I kept re-injuring myself and not resting, Finally I learnt my lesson and took up other sports such as Aquacise.

I attended a beginning to fitness group, full of mostly old people who had suffered injury lol, but stuck with it, and found an opportunity for an affordable student-personal trainer.
I met Floss and he was something else alright! Age 51, the most energy I've met in anyone in my life. He somehow.. found a focus in me, that loved to do bootcamp and box... that was happy enough to set bigger goals and I did the 5k pegasus fun run (had to walk it tho) I then set my goals for a triathlon.
in November he did a report on me as his most improved client (I think he had about 10 or 15) and that felt nice... to reward me he didn't charge me anymore. On finishing his class he flew over to Austria to do his ski season teaching - and sold me his mountain bike, I've only been on it a couple times but it is a DREAM bike. I love it.
I used to mountain bike in my teenage years.

So as I head into 2013.
I've decided not to do the triathlon as I still am so very new to swimming, I can only do 4 strokes.. not 8 lengths the race requires heh. But I am going to join the gym, and take a boxing class. (Jacki.. Thurs 9am!) And Floss emailed yesterday he will be back in 5 months and want's to boot camp with me again.. hehe

I'd love to do the mud sweat and tears race this year :)
I suspect I am a girl who likes to race and compete.... Not sure yet.

But one thing I Really love about working out...
Is that it taps into a strength I have inside :)

How are you doing these days, Dearie? I've been doing ok and then not. Ya, chocolate once again, but it doesn't seem like so much, like it used to be, so I think that that must be progress. Little by little they say! I read where they said that Americans eat 330 carbs each day on an average! Whoa, if we can cut down on carbs to a max. of 100, we're doing pretty awesome and on our way to even alot lower too. That's what I hope to do! I'm wishing you the very best!! We can do it!!

Well Sweets, thanks for being such a grand low-carb buddy! I have to tell you that it must've been my turn to blow it on chocolate! Errr! No, no, we must not take turns, although I know that this is a learning process that we're in. One gal told me that with learning to eat low carb is like learning a new language! Ya, she's not kidding! I ate nuts and garbanzo beans, that I know now were ok on the South Beach plan but not on the Atkins plan! That's what I get for trying to learn about different low carb plans! The chocolate came in at a time that I was mad because I ate nuts and beans and then saw these yummy caramel chocolate peanut clusters. MY husband and son know that they have to hide their candy from me, so my son put this yummy bag in the potholder drawer! I told him that he should know that every good cook goes to the potholder drawer about every day!! The trouble is when they end up in the freezer or wherever, they don't think about them either, but that's their problem!! Did you ever make your almond flour nut bread? I love nut bread and haven't had any in years and try to stay away from bread, but a lower carb nut bread would be worth making if you like it! I wouldn't think that almond flour would be too hard to get used to. Some of those sound absolutely pitiful and it's really expensive if it's pitiful! Ya! I hope that you're having a good day. After reading your comment again, I thought that it's normal to have a mess-up kind of day once-in-awhile. Just as long as the majority of our days are good ones, good ones as far what our new lifesyle way of eating is. So don't beat yourself up so much and just get right back on track. I have to tell you too that with my research of everything low carb, I ordered a book from Amazon called The Metabolisn Miracle by Diane Kress. It's a low carb plan with it zeroing in on Insulin Resistance, which I need quite a bit I feel. It's like Low carb for Dummies with good black and white explaining with alot of recipes. She writes like 3 books and the 2nd one is the one that I ordered. It the plan in a nutshell with 150 recipes. There's where I need the help! So I'll be going by this new way of eating lifestyle plus a little of my own ideas, with whatever is the key to losing weight for me!! Take care, Sweets, and I hope that you're having a good day.
