My motivation is to become Fabulously Fit in my 40s! (I turned 44 in January. I started Spark before I turned 40.) Now I will continue the goal into my 40's.
So much has changed! I had lost almost 40 lbs and gone from a size 18 to an 8! I returned to a size 18 and went over the 200 lbs mark again back in January of 2011. I lost 30 lbs in the first 3 months of 2011, just by walking a little more and eating a little less. I lost another 20 lbs between March and September with Herbalife and I have been stuck ever since. I have decided that it’s time to once again refocus and continue to get back to a healthy life! Now I've lost nearly 60 lbs!!!!!
I have reduced my fibromyalgia symptoms and medications just by loosing weight and eating better. I feel so much better than I did when I started back in March of 2008.
I have enjoyed yoga, swimming, kickboxing, Zumba and more at a local gym. I have drifted away from the gym from time to time. I suppose that I'll never really be done. I have come a long, long way! Now I've added soccer and salsa dancing to my exercise routine. I exercise nearly every day.
I am no stranger to diets, and I have learned that I need to end my endless battle to loose weight by truly changing my eating habits once and for all. I also need to continue to exercise daily to rid myself of over 90% of my fibromyalgia symptoms. All of these changes have also lowered my cholesterol, chances of becoming diabetic, chances of heart problems and so much more.
I am a high school English teacher. I love to read, even though I'm dyslexic... that's right, I'm a dyslexic English teacher... oh, the irony of it all!
I am happily single, twice divorced. I have two adult children: an editor daughter and a son in his third year of college.
This is MY life! It’s time to live it to it’s fullest!
