I joined SP on March 31, 2013

I'm starting over.....again.

I am hard-wired to be a prodigal who wastes my health, wealth, time, and life on extravagant junk that destroys me. But I seek to change my ways, and, thereby, change my life, moment by moment, choice by choice, hour by hour, day by day.

I don't want to be a prodigal anymore!

Little choices + honesty + consistency + time = Success!

My Goals:
Long Term---

*Normal Blood Pressure (100/70)
*Normal A1C (below 5.7)
*Freedom from medication
*BMI of 23
*To be fit and strong
*Live a simplified, grateful life

Short Term---


*Lose 5% of my weight


*Lose 2-5 pounds (consistent weight loss each month)


*Weigh only once per week
*150-300 intentional fitness minutes/week (cardio & ST)
*ST x 3
*Cardio x 5-6


*Stick to meal plan:
Each meal = 3 oz. protein, 2 starches/whole grains, 2 veggies/1 veggie & 1 fruit (breakfast = 1 fruit or veggie), 1 calcium souorce, 1.2 fat

*8 c. water
*8 hours sleep
*Regularly moving throughout the day + 30-60 fitness minutes

Live simply each day by...

*decluttering one area of my home for 15 minutes
*doing the most important things first
*Saying "no" to things I simply do not need in my life

My Program:
balanced meals (stick to food plan/no junk)
45 carbs max at every meal
water, water, water
intentional exercise
support system
eliminate excesses in my life

    Holy the idea of a course on disaster relief sounds awesome! We had minimal training and to be honest did not even know what to expect. It was 1 of the best experiences of my life and would do it again in a heart beat.

    Kudos to you my friend on your kind heart to help others. Seen pics and footage here and 2 of our teamies is from an hour out of Houston. Hoping all of your family is out of danger,

    I agree about being friends. We both have lots in common. Now I just have to keep up with you lol emoticon
