Hi, My name is Josie and I am glad you are here!

I joined SparkPeople almost two years ago. Little by little I have made good changes in my lifestyle and they are beginning to add up because I have learned, and continue to learn, to be consistent.

I believe 2015 is going to be a GREAT year for me! I am finally living a mostly healthy lifestyle with good food choices, controlled calories, fitness on most days of the week, 4-6 veggies and fruits (almost) daily, low sodium on the vast majority of days, and at least 10 glasses of water on MOST days. Plus, this is the year I will re-establish a good and stable bedtime routine for sound and restful sleep.

This is all just an experiment in which I earn experience points, and when I am finished, I will know how my body works and what it needs to be healthy.

I hope you'll join me in making 2015 the year you see your healthful dreams come true by a determined and committed effort one day at a time.

Never forget that failure is only failure if you quit. Otherwise, failure is just very good information you can use to make better choices and to learn more about your body's reaction to various foods, nutrients, amounts of water intake, exercise routines.

Happy New Year, my friends!
May this be the best year of our lives!!!

can't wait for the marathon. the training is kicking in - I'll know for sure tomorrow. A long run planned. Enjoying the cold weather here. It was a tad windy for our bike ride this morning.

The videographer is capturing my son playing soccer and then he'll put together a 4 minutes clip of DS playing and we'll upload to the NCAA and NAIA sites so coaches can see him and maybe offer him a scholarship. I've always wanted to exercise at midnight - I wanted to do a long run (4 -5 hours) and start at midnight and finish at 5 a.m. and then go to bed and sleep the rest of the day. I've never done it. I've gotten up as early as 2:30 a.m. to start a run at 3a.m. I was running with a group then. We were probably doing 20 -22 miles. So you don't hardly sleep the night before and I always thought we should just start at 9 p.m. or midnight. emoticon

It's a beautiful day here today - temperatures are in the 70's the sun is shinning and there is a coolness in the air. It's Saturday. I'm gonna let it fill my heart.

thanks for your comments. Your picture is so pleasant. I am needed to make some time adjustments to deal with my stress and do some planning in other areas of my life so I can make some changes there.
