Hi, My name is Josie and I am glad you are here!

I joined SparkPeople almost two years ago. Little by little I have made good changes in my lifestyle and they are beginning to add up because I have learned, and continue to learn, to be consistent.

I believe 2015 is going to be a GREAT year for me! I am finally living a mostly healthy lifestyle with good food choices, controlled calories, fitness on most days of the week, 4-6 veggies and fruits (almost) daily, low sodium on the vast majority of days, and at least 10 glasses of water on MOST days. Plus, this is the year I will re-establish a good and stable bedtime routine for sound and restful sleep.

This is all just an experiment in which I earn experience points, and when I am finished, I will know how my body works and what it needs to be healthy.

I hope you'll join me in making 2015 the year you see your healthful dreams come true by a determined and committed effort one day at a time.

Never forget that failure is only failure if you quit. Otherwise, failure is just very good information you can use to make better choices and to learn more about your body's reaction to various foods, nutrients, amounts of water intake, exercise routines.

Happy New Year, my friends!
May this be the best year of our lives!!!

Hi Josie, where are you walking to? I am now in Chattanooga, TN. I am now using the website, Log Your Run to plot my points. Unfortunately, too many points on the map will "close" out the map and cannot add any more...then I need to open up another map and start where I left off. I am thinking of just creating a map for each month. It is a cool website... Are you logging your distances on a map? What do you use? ~ Deborah

Actually I don't think so. My motivation has waned alot this weekend. Even my exercise & eating has been affected. I'm like a roller coaster.

Walk in wisdom this day. Pure wisdom leaves us with no question about whether it is a good thing to do.
Walk in wisdom this day, for wise decision, thoughts and actions bring peace to us.
Walk in wisdom, which practices gentleness even with oneself. Be good to you today.
Walk in wisdom, practicing sound reason in all things you face today.
Walk in wisdom that is full of mercy. Wisdom understands who we are, where we are, and the challenge faced in getting where we are going. It does not give a beat down, but lifts up off the ground.
Walk in wisdom. It produces good fruit, making a life of abundance.
Walk in wisdom. It is unwavering, removing doubt and fear.
Walk in wisdom that keeps us from a life of hypocrisy by stabilizing our course, making our path straight.
