Is there a better day then one thats filled with ocean waves?

I started SP on Mother's Day '08 and my goal is to lose 30 lbs by my son's first birthday at the end of October. Spark People has been a great motivation and I love using the trackers and charts. I think I am now addicted to earning SparkPoints!

My dream goal is to lose 50 lbs all together but that just seems way too much to handle right now. I really think that if I stick with SP I'll be able to reach my goal of 30lbs and then I'll just keep going from there.

I love all the different types of Spark Teams that are out there. I found some great ones that I hope will keep me motivated through this.

I'm having a hard time pulling together a visual collage so if there is anyone who has one that they are willing to share I would appreciate the push in the right direction on that one.

I want to do this:
- for myself
- to be able to play with my son as he grows
- to feel healthy again
- so I can fully enjoy the beach and not be worried about how I look
- to get balance again with the foods I eat
- to be a positive role model for my family and friends
- FOR MYSELF!!

Daily Goals:
1. drink that water
2. track the food I eat every day
3. don't cheat myself by fudging what I put on the food tracker -- no one else can see it so I'm only cheating myself
4. do some form of exercise every day
5. be aware of the sugar I eat -- I'll try cutting back when I can but for now I just want to realize every time I am eating something just cause its sweet
6. Tell myself that I can do this and that I am worth it once a day

Mini Goals and Rewards:
10 lbs - new work outfit!!
20 lbs - take a day off of work for a beach day
30 lbs - buy that freaking Cricut that I have always wanted, those damn info-mercials keep taunting me!!

Things I want to keep in mind:
*Be aware that set-backs aren't stopping points unless you let them be.
*If I lose steam and not pounds to read SP articles and post on message boards, they are great motivators with very supportive people who have been there and can help me reach my goal
*I can do this!
*Take it one small goal at a time
