Positively Mindful

"Choose one thing and do it deeply, and you will do it all."

Exercising every day is my one thing. I began working out for at least 2 hours on February 28th, 2015. I get 14 hours a week of exercise. I am being very disciplined about this because there is a family history of heart disease and diabetes.

2015 Resolutions
1.) Make a healthy lunch every day, unless I'll be eating out.
2.) Avoid alcoholic beverages entirely, until I am at goal weight. They have no nutritive value and work against losing weight.
3.) No coffee. I do not even like coffee! I hate it. So I always add some soy milk to it, so that it does not even taste like coffee. Alright, so I have been going through a lot of soy milk. Also, coffee causes your body to produce adrenaline, which makes you hyper alert and easily upset. The best source of energy should come from food and that is where I want to get it. I used to just drink herbal tea all the time, and I want to get back to that. It is way mellower. It does not affect your moods in a bad way if you just have the herbal kind.
4) Only sugar free cocoa, no other kind. The kind with sugar gives me a headache. I have been drinking it anyway. But that is going to stop!
5) Only sugar free candy, because sugar is not going to help me lose weight. And because regular chocolate candy seems to be some sort of trigger for me, I can't leave it alone! At least the sugar free kind has less calories.

My Goals:
My overall vision is to lose some weight, while also improving my cardiovascular health, as well as build some muscle. My long-term goals to achieve this are by exercising daily and tracking my calories.

My Program:
I started a 2 hour fitness streak on February 28, 2015. I get 14 hours of exercise a week. I have not been able to lose weight with less exercise than this. So this needs to be what I am doing right now.

Personal Information:
I live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, in Portland, Oregon. What I love most about my area is all the trees. Our city has a lot of trees, and we are surrounded by forested areas.

My name is Hannah.

Other Information:
I have a cat named Milton. He is a giant British shorthair. My interests include gardening, art, history, philosophy, and religious studies. I watch a few shows on TV right now, Once Upon A Time, Grimm, and How To Get Away With Murder, as well as The Haunting Of with Kim Russo.

We have had several events to support a peaceful community. We had our youth make signs and we marched to our local park. We have a youth group and are teaching the youth to be leaders in our community.
We just have to encourage our youth to make good decisions.

Yes! I have often thought the beautiful man from Jamaica was an angel. and whenever I remember that episode, I get a quite mystical feeling. After stopping to help us, he just disappeared into the traffic. I never even knew his name, but I will always remember him.

Thank you so much for your comments on my blogs!

Your comment about gardening really made me chuckle! Steve probably burns twice as many calories working out in the yard than I do, just because he really puts everything into it! LOL
