My Weight Loss Journey

I am 28 years old and I have an 9 year old daughter. Before she was born I worked in a gym and was in excellent shape. During my pregnancy I gained over 60 pounds. During her first few years of life I managed to lose some of that, but my father passed away and I was up to 220 pounds. I have managed to lose 49 pounds so far, but I am still 50ish pounds overweight. However, I am not going to let that determine my weight loss goal. My Goals:
I am looking forward to fitting into my size 10 jeans again, running a 5k as opposed to walking one and participating in a sprint triathlon!! In order to get myself in better shape I am going to complete an organized exercise program (p90x, Insanity, ChaLean Extreme, etc). Wish me luck!!

My Program:
I do a variety of activities, from walking to Tae Bo, step aerobics, Pilates, etc. It depends entirely on the day and how I am feeling

Other Information:
I love to read, quilt, crochet, knit and bake. But exercising has become my #1 stress reliever :)

I see you are glad you worked out this am. I am too - glad I worked out this morning. However, the weather is so awesome here - I want to get on my bike and go for a ride, but I have too much to do.

Keep up the good work! You can run a 5k and feel great! I am getting back to running a 5k since I hurt my siatic nerve and I am taking it slow. My new goal is to do a Sprint Triathlon next summer so I am slowing doing these workouts. I have not swam laps for 30 years so I am refreshing my memory and since I don't have a bike, the one at the gym will do for now. :) For some reason I think a triathlon sounds fun, so I must have lost my mind too! emoticon emoticon
