My Journey

I am a 57 year old retired/disabled teacher. I have multiple sclerosis, so I can't get around as much as I would like. I have used that as an excuse, but now I've decided to do something about it. I want to be as healthy as possible for my granddaughter. I'm tired of waiting for the other shoe to fall and end up back in a wheelchair. I'm going to LIVE....and be healthy doing so. MS is not going to rule me anymore!

"Here's to US. Here's to ordering a salad when you really wanted a burger. Here's to making an ass out of yourself in combat cardio class. Here's to drinking more water than you thought was humanly possible. Here's to 5 more minutes on the elliptical. Here's to working out twice as much as your skinny friend. Here's to saying goodbye to the old you & falling in love with the new, improved, healthier you, the YOU that you really are, the YOU that you are becoming. Here's to looking in the mirror or jumping on the scale & seeing no changes BUT putting on your Nike's & hitting the gym anyways. Here's to carrots & shin splints & sweatshirts & perseverance & sore muscles & stinky socks & 7am Yoga classes & falling down & getting back up - - -And here's to doing it all over again tomorrow."

Never stop pushing for those BIG dreams, Friend!!
Better health & happiness is within your reach!
Never give up on YOU!! You're worth the fight!!!

Stay Positive, Change IS Coming,

Jes

Ronda - The pictures of little Hannah are absolutely precious. If we had had a girl, we were going to name her Hannah! I just love that name. God, however, gave us a boy and we named him Eli.
Blessings,
Candy

Oh Ronda!!
'The Quilt' made me cry as I read it this morning. I had just finished reading the Taxi.
Both of these stories, I've read before, in my younger days.
But at 61, they have such a rich meaning!
We will stand before GOD on judgement day and the quilt will be what GOD sees in each of us that know HIM!! Finally, the holes will be filled with His beauty and we will truly understand what He has done for us.

1 Corinthians 13:12 (KJV)

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. emoticon

What a glorious day it will be!! emoticon emoticon emoticon
