I am striving to do the best I can and always be moving in the right direction by making the healthiest choices for myself each day. **update JAN '13: I have gotten off track on Sparkpeople and with my healthy lifestyle. I have let myself slide back into bad habits when things go wrong and I get busy with work and life. I have to remind myself that I have already lost around 40 lbs and that I CAN do it. I will not let myself gain back anymore. I have revamped my sparkpage and my motivation and am rededicating myself to a healthy life. I will take steps everyday to continue on my way to achieving my ideal happy weight and healthy body. Time for another fresh start and renewed motivation. -------- I have struggled with my weight since my pre-teen years, but it really started to go up fast during college and I became obese for the first time instead of just chubby or overweight. I kept gaining and felt more and more out of control which in turn made it harder for me to do anything. I was obsessed with dieting and exercise and was really strict for months, then got overwelmed and sat around binging, repeating this cycle for years. I hated myself so much and was so uncomfortable in my skin. My weight has hindered my life for too long and I am so tired of it. I am finally facing my weight successfully and even though it is slow, I know that I will get there. I would always love to make any new friends! My Goals:
I would like to: -lose 70+ lbs -build endurance and stamina -gain strength and flexibility -feel better inside and out
My Program:
I plan to: -do cardio 5x a week with running, cycling and extra walking -strength training 3x a week -eat a well-balanced diet without going to extremes (no starving, bingeing)
Personal Information:
I'm in my mid-20s and I've been trying to lose weight for a long time but have finally found some (slow) success on Spark. I have NEVER been at an ideal weight as a teen or adult and I am now turning my life around and getting my weight under control so I can finally feel better and be healthy.
