Howdy, I am a forty year old father of 2. I work for the DPW&T for a local county gov't. My job no longer requires me to be active (desk job), so I am not burning calories and getting real exercise by being at work on a daily basis.

My wife (sjss64) and I decided a year ago to do something about being fat and forty. She has made amazing progress. As for me, I was doing really good until my mother was diagnosed with some major vascular problems. With trips to various Drs and ...
Howdy, I am a forty year old father of 2. I work for the DPW&T for a local county gov't. My job no longer requires me to be active (desk job), so I am not burning calories and getting real exercise by being at work on a daily basis.

My wife (sjss64) and I decided a year ago to do something about being fat and forty. She has made amazing progress. As for me, I was doing really good until my mother was diagnosed with some major vascular problems. With trips to various Drs and Hospitals I just got out of my routine. She passed away just before Christmas, and that further kept me from doing what needed doing. But now I need to get my large rear end in gear and do a little more to help me.

My Goals:
I want to improve my general health.

I want to lose body fat.

I want to feel better and have more energy.

My Program:
I work a 4 day 10 hour a day shift @ night from Wed thru Sat. so my program is abnormal at best but here is what I try to do.

Sun - Get a little extra sleep. Eat with some common sense. Go to the Gym and work with dumbells on the balance ball.

Mon - Eat light and healthy. Go to the Body Pump class @ the gym.

Tues - Get extra sleep to get ready for work. Eat early. Light cardio 3-5 miles on the bike or maybe 20 mins on the treadmill.

Wed - Try to survive. eat as good as possible. Pray for sleep.

Thur - Eat big breakfast at work. try to go to gym. get 6-8 hrs of sleep.

Fri - Try to eat with sense again. Try for 6-8 hrs of sleep

Sat - Bad eating day :-(
Leave work go to gym do dumbells and balance ball and 20+ mins on cardio.

My real name is Jim Sawyer but soooo many people call me HucK that it could be on my drivers license.

Other Information:
I love to cook ( I try new Ideas on my family all the time)

I play Disc Golf and am now learning to Play traditional golf.

I am also a paintballer.

Love to read. Sci fi, Fiction, History, All kinda stuff.

Love to play video games. I am a SOCOM junkie and now I have a PS3 (from my wife) and really like Resistance : Fall of Man

I actually enjoy my job and am very good at it.

My Spelling sucks so if you see a spelling error I don't care. Thomas Jefferson once said "tis a poor man indeed who can find but a single spelling for a word"

Huck -- Good Morning and Greetings from central Indiana!!! Greg here, and just stopping by for a short visit. One of my short term goals is to visit as many of the SparkPages of members of the different teams that I am on. I try to visit one page per team per day (and, yes, I'm keeping track of the pages I visit; 200+ pages). You are my "Outdoor People" visit for today (and we are also Geocaching teammates).

Super job on your SparkPage. I really like the SparkPages, and think setting one up is an important step; you have to think about what you want to present, and be willing to put it out there for the world to see/read.

awwwww, thanks for stopping by, i cant comlain. it could be ALOT worse, but it isnt..lol. hope your doing good as well! cause YOU deserve it too!! i was reading your profile here: Other Information:I love to cook ( I try new I deas on my family all the time)i should have married you! i have a hubby thats STILL doesnt know how to make a baked potatoe IN the microwave.sheesh! lol I am also a paintballer.--my sons wants to get into this...i havnt really looked into it yet.
