Hi, my name is Ruth. As a recent graduation from nursing school, I have found myself 20 pounds heavier from the day I started school. I wish I could say that I learned self control, but the sleepless nights of studying found me with a bag of chips.

Now that life is finally settling down, I am making a stance to start over and live a healthy lifestyle. Working the night shifts (7pm-7am) I am determined to not rely on the vending machine to get me through my shifts.

I welcome everyone to join me on this journey as I know I will need emotional and physical support!

You are young and beautiful so I'm glad to see that you want to take off those twenty pounds now - they will sure add up if you don't. My niece is graduating with her RN this fall and is having the same issues as you. She says it's the crazy hours, and the lack of sleep as well as the lack of energy to plan proper meals. I know you are physically very active so that just goes to show you the food thing, eating properly is so important. You can do it! Stay fit so you'll never be like me.
