I am 45 years old and after dealing with a couple of foot injuries I am finally on my way. I have been a member of Spark People for quite some time but have also dropped out of the whole healthy lifestyle. I am back and feeling good. Losing weight and exercising is much more difficult then I ever thought it would be. It is a life change and my priorities have changed. I would love to lose weight but my main focus now is my health. I would really love to get back to how I was in my running photo. I was 137 lbs. wearing a size 6 and physically feeling awesome. I keep telling myself, "If I can train for and run a marathon having never ran a day in my life, I can lose this weight!"

My Goals:
Feb. 28 - down 4-8 lbs.

March- run the shamrock n roll 5 k in 30 min. or less


June - run the Fathers Day Run

when I lose 15 lbs. I get to buy something from Athleta


My Program:
Gym - 6 days a week.
Mon. Upper body & cardio
tues -Cardio and abs
Wed. - Lower body and cardio
Thurs. Cardio and abs.
Fri. Upper body and Cardio
Sat. Lower Body and Cardio
Sun. day off but try to do some yoga or pilates at home.

Drink tons of water and get my veggies and fruits in.



Personal Information:
I am 45 years old. Married to the most wonderful man. I have 3 great kids. My oldest just graduated from college. My twins are Juniors in highschool. I work in a kindergarten classroom. Love being outside.


Other Information:
Love scrapbooking!!
Love books by Jodi Picoult.
Enjoy traveling, but don't get to very much.
Enjoy playing volleyball at Lake Shannon and with my school staff.

    Thanks, but I am not much of a runner, but working on it that's for sure. You will get fitter and healthier with the low impact of riding your bike..

    Great job today. Yeah the toughest part is the transistion between biking and running again. I went out last night and did 2 mile run, 30 mile ride and finished it with a 2.5 run again. It took awhile to lose the biking legs and get into running. I am not a runner and that is my toughest part of it all. But it is slowly coming along. The biking part is where I will make up all my time. In my 30 mile ride I had an average of 20.3 mph. Not sure what my running time was since my watch was messed up. I will check it out on my next training run and let you know. Keep up the good work.

    THat is wonderful that you are enjoying exercising more. When I first started, I had no idea what to do so I started with what I knew. Then my husband comes along and he helped me and to this day, he still is. It's good to find a partner to talk to so you can enjoy reaching your goals. You can do it because even though life is tough, you are tougher. Always remember that!
