The Start of Re-Beginning's
I am 46 years old, have been married since I was 18. I have 2 grown children 23 and 27. Since the birth of my second child I have gone up and up and up in my weight. Right out of high school, I weighed 128. Currently, I am just above 100 pounds of that, currently at 232. So. That is my motivation. I want to be what I was when I graduated from high school. I know I will never BE what I was then, but I would like to be the healthies that I can be. I graduated in 1982, and we had our first ...

Right out of high school, I weighed 128. Currently, I am just above 100 pounds of that, currently at 232. So. That is my motivation. I want to be what I was when I graduated from high school. I know I will never BE what I was then, but I would like to be the healthies that I can be. I graduated in 1982, and we had our first and only 10th year reunion in 1992. I was around 155 then. We are tentatively planning our 30th, for 2012, and I want to be as close to high school weight as possible. So that and the big 5 - 0 is creeping up quickly, and they are my motivators. I have yo-yo dieted forever. Forever trying the NEW diet medicine, or fad diet. I don't want to do that anymore. I read this somewhere the other day, and it really stuck. Thought I would share it with you...The 3 C's of life: choices, chances and changes ~ You must make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change. I'm ready for a change, are you? Update from Original Introduction: I lost my 23 year old son on January 17th, 2011 I will never change the introduction, as I do have 2 sons. One is just no longer with me in the physical sense. My Goals:
My goal is to feel good about myself. I am sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. I want to go to a store and be able to buy clothes in the NORMAL sized department. I WANT to look at sizes again.
My Program:
I am trying to count my calories, and hopefull with the help of sparkpeople, I will be able to do that more easily. I plan to watch my intake on complex carbs. Intake more protein, vegetables and fruit. When I do eat bread/starches, I will be high fiber content, multigrain. I am just going to try to "wing" it on my own this time. Any suggestions, let me know, I'm open to anything.
Personal Information:
I am 44 years old. I have been married ALL of my adult life. 26 1/2 years, to be exact. I have to grown children, both men. The oldest is married, so I aquired a beautiful little (step) grand daughter.
