^I posted that more than 3 years ago! I am now 26 years old and I am still dealing with my weight. I am still a wife and mommy, but now I work full time at a mental health facility.. I am doing a church fast that prohibits sugar and fast food. The fast gave me the opportunity to better my diet. Since the fast I have started exercising daily and I now take in a diet rich in lean meats, fruits, and veggies. I eat pretty clean. As you can see I'm back, but with a plan. I actually lost 45 lbs, but added 25 back due to stress. Since my church fast started I managed to lose 10 of those lbs again. I still want tips and mucho help! I am just looking forward to a newer and healthier Gwenda.

My Goals:
1. Become a healthier person in general. x

3. Limit my bread intake. x

5. Stop drinking sodas and dark drinks all together! x

My Program:
When I wake up in the morning I usually eat a fruit and a protein to help fuel my exercise. I walk 4 miles during the week day and then 1 mile during the weekend.

For lunch I usually have a green smoothie or I prepare a plate of greens, like kale or spinach, with peppers and onions. If I don't feel like cooking I choose a low-calorie option from Subway.

Dinner is my favorite meal. I love to make light and yummy dishes. I prepare dishes like curry shrimp with rice and broccoli or homemade chicken noodle soup. I love to cook. I love hearty dishes, especially ones that I can turn healthy.
I plan on cooking the following dishes in the future:
-Avocado and chicken soup
-Teriyaki chicken wings
-Honey mustard wings
-Spinach and chicken casserole

For my snack I usually have some type of fruit or saltine/ritz crackers.

Hello Gwenda and welcome to the Alabama SP Team!!
My best advice to you it so start slowly. Don't try to change everything at once because you will get overwhelmed and quit. Just set a small goal and and do what it takes to achieve that goal. Then set another and move toward it....before you know it you are on your way to a healthier lifestyle!!
