My goal is not only to lose weight & get to a healthier version of myself, but to also figure out how to deal with life's ups and downs in a manner that is not detrimental to my health (i.e. not turning to food).
To me, it is all about sustainability. If you give up a certain food to lose weight, than you better plan on never eating it again, otherwise that's a "diet"... as in the 4 letter word kind. TEMPORARY ACTIONS = TEMPORARY RESULTS. I'm really trying not to do those anymore. It's all about moderation and making EVERY day count for improvements to my health... healthy food choices, the not-so-healthy foods in moderation, lots of water & making exercise more consistent.

I am 5'10" and the lowest weight I ever achieved as an adult was 185 lbs and I was a comfortable size 14. I wouldn't mind getting back there and have 185 lb be my maximum weight... that is my long term goal. Ultimate goal 165 lbs.

Here I go!!!!!!!!!! Again. And again... until I get there & maintain it. You may see me stumble, but you will never see me give up.

Current Challenge:
The 365/50 Project - to lose 50 lbs in a year starting 11/15/16.

Ultimate goal: 17%-20% body fat - to be a lean 165 lbs or whatever weight I am at to achieve a good body fat % (I wouldn't know - I've never weighed less than 185 lbs as an adult!)


My Program:
- replacing old bad habits with new healthier ones
- eating healthier meals & snacks
- drinking LOTS of water
- making exercise a priority in my life

I take inspiration and knowledge from: Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover, Tom Venuto's 'Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle', Bethenny Frankel's Naturally Thin "rules", Sparkpeople's healthy ideas and recommendations and my new source: 'The 16 Hour Diet' by Ashley Barnes - life changing info that goes against EVERYTHING you thought you knew about how to increase your metabolism & the easiest way to burn stored fat!!!!
