Keepin' It Real

Hi there! Years have passed since I joined, but I'm still going at it. During that time I got into great shape for my wedding, gained a few 'comfortable' pounds, lost them, got pregnant, and then lost the pregnancy weight, and am pregnant again! So now I'm going to focus on being healthy and not gaining too much weight with this pregnancy. How am I going to do it? Hi there! Years have passed since I joined, but I'm still going at it. During that time I got into great shape for my wedding, gained a few 'comfortable' pounds, lost them, got pregnant, and then lost the pregnancy weight, and am pregnant again! So now I'm going to focus on being healthy and not gaining too much weight with this pregnancy. How am I going to do it? The same way I didn't gain too much weight with my first 2 kids and recently lost the last handful of 2nd pregnancy pounds - by "keepin' it real". I'm a title escrow agent, I coach 2 soccer seasons/year, I have a husband, 1 year old daughter and an active 9 year old son. I love to work out, but finding the time is tough. So I stopped getting mad at myself for being too tired at the end of the day to get a work out in. Instead I do leg lifts and calf raises at the copier, push-ups during commercials (when I get to actually watch tv), and get to a zumba class whenever I can. I eat REAL foods. So long shakes, bars, pills, and whatever else the marketing world is pushing. I eat fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and low and nonfat dairy. It's a slow and steady race, but a race that I can win. Join the race with me and we'll reach our goals with ease :)

My Goals:
My goals are on hold right now until after the birth, God willing, of our 3rd child. Until then I'm watching what I eat and making sure I don't get lazy during this pregnancy!

My Program:
I'm watching what I eat and trying to be more active. My focus is a healthier lifestyle, not a diet or focusing on my goal - this would imply an ending to this whole thing when in actuality it is indeed a lifestyle, where losing weight and getting in better shape will be a byproduct (and a fabulous one at that!).

Personal Information:
Born and raised and still living in Michigan. Yes, we use our hand to point to the city we're from.

Other Information:
