One Decision at a Time!
Hi my name is Emily and I have been on Spark on and off since summer 2008 when I really didn't even have much weight to lose. Hi my name is Emily and I have been on Spark on and off since summer 2008 when I really didn't even have much weight to lose. I'm glad I found the AMAZING resource though because now I really do have weight to lose! Through college and getting married I have gained 30 pounds. I am tired of feeling crappy about myself. I have a tons of goals that I WILL reach. (12/6/10) Okay so I've been at this about six weeks now. Some things are easier and some things have gotten harder. I am not having to put so much emotional effort into my diet. Balancing all the nutrients is becoming a lot easier. I am figuring out more and more the right proportions of fat, protein and carbohydrates. Since I have those pretty well figured out I am focusing a lot more on fiber, sodium and cholesterol. Something I have been getting frustrated with is not seeing results on the scale as much as I would like. I have to remember that it doesn't reflect what is actually changing in my body. I have lost a total of about 7 inches throughout my body so far even though I've only lost 6 pounds. (1/19/11) I completed the triathalon this past Saturday!! I had personal best times in all three areas! Swim(10 laps)- 12:22 Bike(6 miles)- 24:04 Run(2 miles)-22:19 I realize these are not super competitive times but I am proud that I drastically improved from when i first began training. My ultimate goal is to do this every year and improve in some way each year! 2/19/11 Fitness Goals 60 minutes cardio nonstop- 12/6/10 Work out 4 days a week for three months Run 1 mile without stopping-12/23/10 Run 2 miles without stopping-Feb 2011 Complete Triathalon-2/19/11 Run 5k Run 10k Run 1/2 marathon Run Marathon Climb Mt. I got married to an amazingly patient and supportive man on 6/6/09. We love to laugh and have fun together. We have a maltese-poodle named Pepper who brings a lot of joy to our lives.
