I am learning, as I age, that I have to take care of myself as a whole person, daily cardio (even if I don't have time to run), some strength training, and watch what I eat. So that's what I'm here for!

My Goals:
My goal is to be strong! Strong in my walk with the Lord, strong in my body, strong in my resistance to things that are not healthy for me (spiritually AND physically). I pray to be a strong wife, that my husband can be proud of and a strong mother that my son will love and respect, and obey :). STRONG!!!
My Program:
Thanks to my sweet hubby, for giving me a WiiFit Plus for Christmas 2009! I do 30-45 mins everymorning, then either do run/walk or do Wii aerobics in the PM. At least once a week I go for a long run, I love it! Since I've been on Spark, I've been doing simple strengh training 2-3x a week, and already feel better. Just need to watch my snacks and what I eat! =) ~~~ Because when I gain weight, it's from snacking overboard and not doing daily cardio.~~~
Personal Information:
One of my favorite pictures is one of those on the left. It's a picture of my son and I. When I was finishing my half-marathon, my son jumped in at the last 1/2 mile and ran with me and cheered me on. "Sprint, mom, sprint!" This picture is as I was turning in to the finished line. It was the coolest part of the whole thing that my son was so proud of me!
Other Information:
I put the weight loss ticker on my page, even though I've 'met' my goal, as a point of accountability. I achieved the weight I wanted with much work and attention to my nutrition. But my goal now is STAYING between 112-114. I put the ticker on my page to remind myself to stay there! I was 124+ lbs when I noticed an increase in my weight (almost 10 pounds in 9 months after turning 40). When I get over 120 lbs, my clothes get snug and I get unhappy. I plan to be physically happy for the rest of my life! =) I'm so glad to be friends with SparkPeople and meeting all these wonderful people and joining the great teams to help me meet that goal, always!
