My name is Karen. I am mom to my awesome son, Gabe, adopted from Guatemala. I married to my wonderful husband, Justin.

I have recently been diagnosed with Pre-Diabetes and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS, Fibromyalgia, Vitamin D deficiency and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. So I need to take charge of my health NOW.

Mentally I have been recently diagnosed as being Bipolar 2.

So here's to the new and healthier me!

I have only started too and am looking for good exercises. I have been starting slow with walking and chair exercises. I am already noticing that I have more energy, which could also be attributed to not skipping meals. I have been able to increase my walking time by 5 minutes, and I feel good about that. I am sore, but somehow it is a good sore. emoticon

I'm doing well. Was kinda worried about my Mom (she had surgery Tuesday -- total knee replacement. Hadn't heard from her this morning, so I called. Talked with Dad. Apparently she was hallucinating last night. Probably a combination of the pain meds and sundown syndrome. She's 83. As patient's get older they can be perfectly lucid during the daylight hours, but then just "lose it" overnight. Then return to being coherent when the daylight starts to appear again.

So . . . I was glad to talk w/her. Apparently she'll be released from hospital tomorrow. Then they'll stay in Rochester (she had her surgery done @ Mayo Clinic) tomorrow and Friday and come here for a week til they head home to IL.

That's about all the news that's fit to print from here.

HUGS
