How's it going?

I am a 48 year old Male who wants to get back down to 230lbs from 260lbs . I am an avid runner, I have ran a marathon and several 1/2 marathons. I also lift heavy weights. Two years ago I got hooked on Yoga. You would think that by doing all this activity that I would be slim and trim. Nay Nay I say. I have no idea about portion control. A whole pizza is a single serving as far as I am/was concerned. Anyways with sparkpeople telling me how much I am eating a day, ...

I hope to reach my goal by the middle of 2010. Here's to a slimmer trimmer me!

First of all thanks for making my night, your comment about my blog gave me a big smile after ZUMBA tonight! You and Loreen inspire me I love how you are both on spark it's really awesome and so inspiring!:)

Do you crave wheat and bread?? When I eat wheat I get fluffy once I start eating it more often I want it all the time and crave it very badly and it's hard to resist those darn cravings but I'm not out of control and binging so I tell myself it's still progress. I'm sensitive to it and it definitely holds me back! Dang carbs anyway. Usually its the really unhealthy carbs but even healthy wheat stuff just make me want to carb overload and just eat more all the time! I feel it really does suck my energy too amd gives me dark circles under my eyes. It's crazy but I feel soooo much better without but since I love food too much and have ate it all my life it's really hard for me to cut it out permantly.

Here is to a great 2012, each year just has to get better! I'm changing for the better and really just trying to be more positive about myself, I tend to put myself on the back burner!

Hello my friend! How are you and that beautiful wife of yours doing????? Is your portion control improving?? I'm feeling less and less like a food monster these days and it feels great! My goal for the new year is to keep improving and really tackle emotional eating! Do you have any??

I hope you had a nice Christmas and here's to a Happy New Year!

Yep, first flakes on Friday, certainly not enough to do anything or stick, but they were falling and I saw them!
I'm sure we usually have snow by the end of September, although it was a cool and rainy summer, I guess we're going to get a long autumn? Fine by me, but I have to make it a point to enjoy the weather WHILE getting 'ready' for what comes next (find the extension cord and ice scraper for the car, relube the bike with winter grease, etc), instead of just focusing on the coming doom.... I don't mind winter once it gets here, but the transition isn't something I endure gracefully. emoticon

Thanks for your comment on my "Being good" blog. My calf is healing well. The muscle stimulator works well and has helped reduce the swelling.

Not sure what we're doing in early October yet. We are usually over here on Gabriola for thanksgiving, so are probably heading back to the mainland on October 10th. I'll have to check with Leah; we usually go back via Departure Bay, but could also swing down via Swartz Bay if you'll be in Sidney by then.
